• Learning memory data (topics studied, areas of difficulty, learning preferences, personal interests and hobbies shared during conversations - used by Phil to personalize your learning experience)
• Voice data (audio recordings and transcriptions from Phil voice sessions)
• Camera data (photos you choose to capture and add to your session materials)
• AI chat history (conversations with EdgeAI and Phil)
• Session notes and AI-generated summaries
• Technical data (IP address, browser type, device information)
• Communication data (support interactions, feedback)

Important Note on Camera Data: We do not record or save video footage. Camera access is only used when you choose to allow it. These photos are stored only if you explicitly save them, by pressing the take photo button to be added to selction materials.

We may use your information for any lawful purpose, including:

• Providing and improving our learning platform and AI features
• Processing voice data through third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) to deliver Phil's responses
• Training and improving our AI tutoring systems
• Tracking your study progress and session analytics
• Creating AI-powered session summaries and learning insights
• Analyzing usage patterns and trends to improve educational outcomes
• Marketing and promotional purposes
• Creating aggregated or anonymized data sets
• Any other purpose with your consent

We may share your information:

• With third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) to process voice data, generate responses, and deliver AI tutoring features
• With service providers and business partners who assist in operating our Services
• With third parties for research, development, and improvement of AI and educational technology
• In connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition, or sale)
• To comply with legal obligations or protect our legal rights
• With your consent or at your direction

Third-Party AI Processing: Voice recordings and chat messages are processed by OpenAI to provide AI tutoring services. OpenAI's use of this data is governed by their own privacy policy and terms of service.

We reserve the right to use, share, or sell aggregated or anonymized data for any purpose without restriction.

You may have rights regarding your information, including:

• Accessing your data
• Correcting inaccurate data
• Requesting deletion of your data
• Opting out of marketing communications

Contact us to exercise these rights. We may decline requests as permitted by law.

If you provide your phone number and opt in to SMS communications:

• We will send session reminders and study alerts to the number you provide
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier
• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message
• We store your consent timestamp and the version of consent text you agreed to

SMS consent is completely separate from account creation. You can use AquaEdge without providing a phone number or opting in to SMS.

Phil, our AI learning assistant, can remember information to personalize your experience:

• Learning Profile (enabled by default): Stores learning preferences, areas of difficulty, study patterns, and goals to improve tutoring quality
• Personal Interests (disabled by default): Stores hobbies and interests you share to make conversations more engaging. This requires explicit opt-in.

Your Controls: You can view, edit, and delete individual memories at any time through the Memories settings. You can also delete all memories or disable memory features entirely. When you delete memories, they are removed from our active database.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our Services are intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. By creating an account, users affirm they are at least 13 years old.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will:

• Terminate the account immediately
• Delete all associated personal data from our active systems promptly
• Remove data from backups on our standard backup rotation schedule

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at support@aquaedge.co and we will take steps to delete the information.

When you request deletion of your data or when we delete data (including for COPPA compliance):

• Data is removed from active systems within 30 days of the request
• Data in backups is removed according to our backup retention schedule (typically within 90 days)
• Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes
