Create selections, upload resources, and view your learning history.

What are Selections?

Selections are focused learning topics. When you start a session, choose a selection (like "Chemistry" or "Calculus") and Phil tailors his teaching to that area.

Each selection tracks your progress, stores session history, and can include custom resources that Phil references during sessions.

Creating a Selection

  1. Go to Selections in your dashboard
  2. Click "Create New Selection"
  3. Give it a name (e.g., "AP Chemistry", "Data Structures")
  4. Add an optional description
  5. Choose an emoji icon
  6. Save

Uploading Materials

Upload resources that Phil uses during sessions:

Supported Files

  • PDFs: Textbook chapters, study guides, lecture notes
  • Images: Diagrams, charts, problem sets, handwritten notes (OCR transcription)
  • Text files: Notes, outlines, vocabulary lists

How Phil Uses Materials

  • References specific information during teaching
  • Creates flashcards and problems based on your course content
  • Explains concepts as they appear in your materials
  • Adapts to your course's terminology

Viewing Session History

Every session is saved automatically:

  1. Click on a selection
  2. Click "View All Sessions"
  3. Click any session to view details

What's in Each Session

AI Summary

Phil generates a summary of key concepts and takeaways from the session.

Full Transcript

Complete record of Phil's responses and explanations.

Study Materials

Flashcards and practice problems generated during the session.

Session Stats

Date, duration, and Pomodoro cycles completed.

Tips

  • Upload key resources before your first session
