How It Works
- Phil creates a titled multi-step breakdown

Flashcards are saved to your selection automatically. You can also access them from the selection's Flashcards tab after the session.
Quizzes
Create and practice quizzes during your session.
In the Quizzes Tab
- Create quiz sets with multiple choice, short answer, or true/false questions
- Generate from materials — same multi-material selection as flashcards (1 reply per generation)
- Practice immediately: answer questions, get instant feedback with explanations
- Shuffle question order
Resource-Based Study Tools
When you've uploaded materials (PDFs, images, notes), Phil can create tools based on your actual course content:
- "Make flashcards for Chapter 3 of my textbook"
- "Create practice problems based on my lecture slides"
- "Quiz me on the notes I uploaded"
Phil references the specific content from your materials to generate relevant, accurate study tools.
Materials Context Budget
During sessions, Phil has a context budget of approximately 6,000 characters for materials. This means you can have multiple smaller materials active, or one larger one.
- A visual progress bar in the Materials tab and modal shows how much budget is used
- Toggle materials on or off to control what Phil sees
- Phil only references enabled materials during the session
- For flashcard and quiz generation, the limit is much higher: 100,000 characters across multiple materials
